Recruiting
Agents Today
Your real estate
company needs agents. Whether you have
decided to be a small, medium or large
brokerage, your business requires the hiring of
agents.
New agents bring energy, excitement, and revenue to your brokerage.
The conversations, ideas and feedback gets renewed with each new
recruit.
There are a number of existing agents
enjoying and benefiting from their real estate profession. In
addition there are still a number of people interested in becoming real
estate agents.
As history
continues to prove, real estate ranks at the top
for long-term wealth creation.
So how do you find
agents? First you must be clear
about the type of agent that will fit well with
your brokerage. There are three types to
consider. If your brokerage is going to
have a combination of types, be sure to
prioritize the type in order of importance to
your brokerage.
First
Step - Agent Type
Determine the type of agents you want working at
your brokerage
1.
Pre-License: These are
people interested in becoming real estate agents. They do not have a
real estate license. You will provide the
training necessary for them to become licensed. They will work at
your brokerage upon receiving their real estate license.
2. New License: These
are people who have recently received their real estate license.
Or someone who need more help understanding how the industry works.
In either case, you will provide training on the inter-workings of the
real estate industry -i.e., getting started, building a business, and
processes.
3. Skill License: These are
people who have a real estate license, and they have been working as a real estate agent for a
period of time; at least 2 years. They understand the real estate
industry, including: prospecting, client relation, and closing deals.
