Have you checked your email today?  The answer is not only yes, but how many times.  So if you're checking your email; agents are checking their emails.

Email is an accepted communication medium for businesses throughout the world, including real estate.  Today, you email listing information, pictures, appointment reminder messages, address driving instructions, contracts, appraisal reports, and inspection reports.

You are also using email to prospect and sell your real estate services.  So why not use email to increase your number of agents.  Done correctly, email can provide a substantial boost to your recruiting efforts.

Using a Theme Approach
Your email message should be easy to read and understand.  Our research team has found that using a "theme" approach gets agents attention and improve responses.  Your theme email should include:

1.  Attention Grabbing Subject.  Use a subject that make agents want to continue reading.  For ideas on writing subject lines, check your newspaper.  Each day newspapers use heading to get your attention.

2.  Agent Name.  Personalize your message.  Have you ever been in a crowd and someone called your name?  What did you do -stop and looked to see who was calling.  Agents respond when you address them by name.

3.  Message Centered on Theme with a Call to Action Link.  Stay on point.  Using a theme helps you to focus on getting your point across.  Keep your message clean and easy to read.  Add a link, phone number, or email address for the agent to respond.


Sending Your Theme Email
 
Depending on the theme, your email can be sent to your past agents; past interviewees; and persons who have talked with you about your brokerage.  Themes can also be sent to persons thinking about becoming real estate agents.

Once you've created your theme email template, you can upload it to your Realty Broker Office system so that everyone in your office has access to it.

Subject: ABC Realty Did Not Deliver   (replace ABC Realty with your brokerage name)

 

Hello Jason

 

We did not deliver and should have done more.

 

I know that you must be disappointed that we did not do more to help you, and I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of our entire brokerage.

 

I understand your frustration with leads, listings, buyers, and the real estate market; and that you want a brokerage to provide true leadership.

 

We can help you.  We have improved a number of things about our brokerage and want you to take another look at us.  You will not be disappointed.
