Use 1099 to Motivate Agents
At
the beginning of each year, you provide your
agents with their 1099-MISC tax statements.
This statement shows the amount of commission earned
during the previous tax year, and must be
given to every agent who was paid a commission
by your brokerage; regardless if the agent is
active, inactive or no longer with your
brokerage.
But
Wait! The 1099 can also be use to motivate
and kick-start your sales.
How?
Include your "RBO Steals & Deals" with each
1099. And if an agent is not receiving a
1099, send the sheet in a 1099 envelope anyway.
Your "RBO Steals & Deals" is a one pager
listings:
1. How top performers got leads
2. How top performers closed deals
3. What did not work for lead
generation
4. Average number of leads provided
per month
5. Company sales volume
6. Dollars spent on marketing & leads
7. Projected marketing dollars for
2008
Agents seeing your RBO Steals & Deals get
valuable information on what they can do to
improve their business in the coming year.
They also see your brokerage level of commitment
in helping them succeed. Knowing that your
brokerage is marketing and helping to get you
lead; and that your brokerage is closing deals
gets you motivated.
